Noah’s Ride To Raise Funds for Ark Crisis Child Care Center

Evansville, Indiana – Noah’s Ride benefiting Ark Crisis Child Care Center will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chandler Community Center in Chandler, Indiana. The Volunteer Coordinator for this event is Erica Boyer (Noah’s Mother), who encourages everyone to participate.

By participating in or attending the event, you will help raise funds for Ark Crisis Child Care Center. These funds will help Ark Crisis Child Care Center provide free temporary child care services for families and children in need.

Noah’s Ride is a motorcycle/passenger vehicle ride. Noah James is the 15-month old son of Erica Boyer and Derek Dreblow. Noah was fatally injured in his grandparent’s driveway by a family vehicle. Erica selected Ark Crisis Child Care Center as the recipient of the funds due to their emergency day care services they provide. With the recent increase of child abuse in the Tri-State area, Boyer strives to bring awareness of the services provided by Ark. Sponsorships are strongly encouraged. Anyone who rides a motorcycle or drives any type of vehicle is welcome to attend. An entry fee of $10 per rider/driver is requested.

“Our goal in holding this event is to help Ark Crisis Child Care Center. They are the ‘life savers’ of many families in crisis. They help save lives especially the lives of children”, said Erica Boyer, coordinator of the event.

Ark Crisis Child Care Center was established in 1981 with the purpose of preventing child abuse and neglect. Ark Crisis is the only emergency state-licensed child care center in Indiana and only one of eleven in the United States. Ark is licensed to care for children ages six weeks to six years of age. Their mission is “to keep children safe and strengthen families in stress.” They provide free short-term child care. No emergency requests are ever denied. Ark is an independent, not-for-profit agency. All services are free. For more information, please visit www.arkcrisis.org.
